Default Dash Problem

Hi all,

Has anyone had the problem I'm having?

All of the dash (gauges etc.) are working fine but not illuminated. However, the two indicator lights and high-beam dash light stay on, but when I operate either left or right indicator, the dash indicator lights still flash and when I put the high-beam on, the high beam dash light goes off, and vice versa.

I have checked earths, globes, relays etc. Can't find anything.

Can anyone help?

Read this: http://www.batee.com/corvette/dcrg/s...ardrepair.html

Just sent mine off yesterday to batee to have it repaired. Others have used him and rate his service as top notch.

Those symptoms are most often caused by a bad ground connection on G201. It could be at the dash connector or the ground point on the driver's side hinge pillar. You need to remove the frame rail cover and pull back the carpet to see G201:

Sounds like a problem I had with the interboard connector inside the dash unit. I opened it up and saw burn marks on the connector where the two IC boards are joined together. I followed the circuit pathways and soldered a jumper around the connector and restored the illumination.
