Default 383 LT1 with FIRST intake

A couple years ago I was going to do a 383 with a FIRST intake for my 87 but it never happened. I just picked up a 92 coupe for $3600 and will be building a 383 with the FIRST intake for my daily driver. I am just looking for a fun reliable street car that makes lots of power under 5000. My dad and I just pulled the engine so it will go out for machine work this month. I hope to have the car on the road by the end of May. When all the bugs are worked out I will get it on a dyno to see what the numbers look like. Here is what the build looks like so far

Scat forged crank 3.75 stroke
Scat pro comp 6" I beam rods with 7/16 bolts
Mahle Forged flat top pistons with coated skirts 4032 alloy (11:1)
LPE 219 Cam
AFR 195 Eliminator heads street port
FIRST intake manifold

I don't think FIRST makes a manifold specifically for a LT1 but the base can be drilled to work for for it. Its hard to see but if you go to https://www.firstfuelinjection.com the blue 73 chevelle under customers rides is a LT1. I called Ken at FIRST to see if the manifold was ever used on a LT1 and he pointed it out to me. He also offered to drill the holes in the base if I couldn't do it.

Interesting, slightly backwards. The LT1 intake is way beyond TPI or FIRST. The 383 alone will provide a huge torque difference.

For under 5000 RPM torque, the FIRST will outshine the stock LT1 and TPI intakes.
My question is the 11:1 pistons in a 'daily driver'?
Seems a bit on the high side to me?

Why is this??? I have 11.3 as my Summer daily driver along with a 110 center line.
did you look at the Cam and Heads listed? cam nothing to radical.
again TPI \ FIRST on a 383 is to much bottom end.

Usually, you want a bigger cam / more overlap with 11:1 static to bleed off some of the pressure to prevent detonation on pump gas. Any idea what the DCR would be on this set-up?

And there is no such thing as too much bottom end.

It it a auto with a dana 36 and 2:59:1 gears. I figured I would get the build done and see what it drives like before selecting gears for the dana 44 conversion. I don't want to gear it real high because I plan to do a good amount of freeway driving. My gut feeling is that I will end up doing 3:07:1

I was thinking the cr might be a bit to high as well, but lots of L98 engines go 10:5:1 with the 219 and don't seem to have a problem. I was more worried about cranking pressure (about 211) than detonation. The lt1 with reverse flow cooling seem to handle compression well from what I have seen. I will also hold a tight quench that should help fight off detonation. The static compression will actually be a bit lower than I posted closer to 10:75:1 and I know that chamber sizes usually are a bit bigger than they are advertised to be. I will check them when they get delivered and post the actual size.
