Default 1994 LT1 engine oil dipstick

Has anyone used this dipstick? Its on ebay, says it fits any 80-up passenger side mounting SBC including the LT1.

No problem. Are you having trouble with yours? Lose it? Mine always seats nice and tight.

The one in your engine is specific and is securely mounted to the stud/bolt for the exhaust manifold. Many of these aftermarket dipstick are not correct due to the mark on the gauge may actually be different than the factory gauge.

A little. Previous owner or mechanic cut the tab off that attaches to the exhaust manifold bolt. Don't really feel like fabricating a tiny bracket if I can get a new trick looking dipstick for around $15.

Just trying to sort through all the little problems and quirks one by one on the car.

Well hopefully you get it figured out. That's one part I never really think about!

Appreciate it! Looks like I'll try and fab a bracket to go from tube to exhaust manifold bolt.

I put one of these on my '81 Corvette after breaking the OEM one. Tight fit and near impossible to use. The metal braid will make a nice tight turn, but the dip stick itself will not and will not go in all the way.

Save your money and get an OEM one or make that bracket.

On my '81 I had no choice, no OEM available.
