Throttle body cleaning ?
Im Thinking of cleaning my throttle body. I took off the air housing and opened the butterflie it looked clean as for as i could see do you have to take it apart to really see if its dirty? Thanks Mark

Inside the IAC can get pretty filthy. This will cause unstable idle. Don't know if your 90 is the same, but on my 86 it's probably impossible to get the IAC passages clean w/out removing the TB.
If you do take it apart, be careful with those little torx screws. They get all cooroded, and the heads will snap right off with surprising ease.
Use TB cleaner, not just regular carb cleaner.

I would recomending taking the T/B off and cleaning it. Remove the IAC and clean that to. And use a new gasket.....And what i do after that is spray down the inside of the plenum and let it soak.

If your TB bore looked as clean behind the throttle plates as in front of them and the plates are clean on both sides don't fix it, it ain't broke.
