I have a 1992 C4 and need to replace the spark plug wires and plugs. It is a daily driver and I also may need to replace the heads. Economy is important as it drives a lot, but many things have already been replaced and I want to improve these pieces. I would like to know what options there are to replacement.

I'd go stock if it is stock. Don't really need the irridium plugs. It's a small block chevy. Until you start pumping horsepower to it, what it came with from teh factory works really well.
LONG jump from plugs and wires to heads: what's up there?

Well, i guess you are the kind of guys that like stock, that's ok. I want advice from people who like to see purdy wires under the hood, and are knowledgeable , so no worries...
I feel the stock parts last and work well. Above and beyond, on a stock engine might waste $$, even on a slightly modified car. I consider the recommended mx intervals to be minimums and exceed them with all my cars.
We support each other, as best we can, with what we have.
Have you learned how to search for answers?
Well, I've sure learned WHO to ask, if that's what you mean. But go ahead and wax on about stock if that's what turns your crank, I mean, if you don't know what goes beyond stock then I don't want to be led astray.
Yes, the particular items you mentioned are good. I think what people are wondering is why you are interested in new heads. You said you are interested in economy as its a daily driver. If you want to change the heads to make more power there are other things you need to be considering before bolting on an expensive set of heads. At the very least, to get the most out of new heads, you're going to need a cam, valve springs, headers and exhaust. None of this is "economical".

Spoke with a guy from the Corvette Forum website, they don't care about C4 people, he said they didn't have parts for them-ok, I can go elsewhere...
?
As for spark plugs - NGK TR55 platinum tip. Excellent plug for the LT1.
As for spark plug wires - lots of good choices. I have a set of Bosch in mine for 3 years with no problems.
As for your attitude - I don't really see the need for the hostility. For the large part most of the people on here are friendly and helpful. If you have had some sort of bad experience don't let it color the way you deal with everyone else. Don't forget that the vehicles in this generation range from 19 to 31 years old. Parts and information can be difficult to come by at times. And on a site like this the search function can be your best guide and can often answer many of your questions without the need to post.

Frankly, if Trolls are the only "friends" then I can figure things out for myself-thank you. I will just join the long list of people that came, saw and left. No one should have to kiss your backsides for advice, and you should have more respect when you reply. Have a good life.

My mistake. The only troll here is you. The definition of troll fits you exactly. See ya' - don't let the door hit you as you leave.

Thank you.
All this blather, and your only question is about AC Delco Iridium spark plugs??
I want advice from people who like to see purdy wires . .
Didn't you say black?
My suggestions would probably be misinterpreted, so I'll keep them to myself. I'm outa here.
Thank you.

That's cute. I'm 58 and have messed with hot cars since my teens. Built several drag cars and hipo street cars. Have found over the years that most of the pretty bolt on stuff is just that, pretty. Until you start making real mods that other stuff is just window dressing. Your car, your $$, no worries here.
