Left front wheel on my'93 coupe sometimes makes a whoosh-whoosh sound that increases to a faster rhythm the faster I go. And the noise stops completely if I touch the brake. Before I tear into the brakes, replacing parts as I go, any ideas on how best to proceed? 12 oclock, 6 oclock shake test revealed no looseness. THANKS!

Hi it could be any of the following.
Disc rotor buckled, disc rotor buckled touching the brake pad friction material at times.
Calliper starting to corrode not alowing the piston to release.
Brake hoses swollen inside not allowing fluid to return when brake pedal is released.
