Battery Charger Wiring
The eyelets won't fit on the actual battery terminals, so I thought I'd hook it up by using the bolt on the power distribution block behind the battery for positive, and a random chassis bolt for ground. My multimeter says my ground is good, but the battery charger refuses to charge the battery like this. Is it not valid to hook up a charger to the power distribution block? The charger works fine if I use the alligator clamps direct to the battery.
Yes, I know I can just get extended terminals like these, but there's so little clearance between the terminals and the fender as is, I didn't want to make it worse.

also, for the people that go this route, where are you putting the end of the connector? I didn't want to have it stick out of the gills, because it might scratch the paint, so I tried having mine in the gap between the fender and the wheel well plastic... but it won't stay put. There's gotta be a cleaner solution that doesn't have it stick out too far and run the risk of getting caught by the tire.
Go to a local stereo installing shop and they more than likely have the gold plated terminal bolts that are much shorter than what you have shown us. I use them and they will work. Instead of a stud...they use a bolt that threads into the main bolt portion....much like these:

I'm betting you could find them at your local autoparts store.
I don't know how well it worked as I never used it.
I have my car in my signature, but for some reason, this forum chooses to not display signatures by default... weird. is that an option that I can't find?
