G44 RPO code
I have a 1989 with the G44 and G92 code for the 3.07 rear axle ratio. The car is an automatic. Do I have the D36 or the D44 rear differential? How do I tell which rear end I have? Is there a RPO code for the rear differential? Not planning to change anything, just wondering.

Except for the 1984 models, which were all D36
This also assumes a previous owner hasn't made a rear end swap.
Best way to tell is to crawl under there and look.
