Help with shift boot install
Hello. I installed my new shift boot from Ecklers on my 1985 4+3.
Is this the correct way that it should be installed? Or should the sew line be switched around?
I noticed that the shift boot is being tugged down off the shifter when I shift into second or fourth.

That plastic grommet at the top of the boot that came on it is probably not down far enough on the shifter. Same thing happened to me. Rock it a bit and push it down hard. Once it snaps down you'll be fine. It had me thinking the leather had to stretch or I put it on backwards. I started a thread in here on the ball I put on mine. Look there and you'll see a pic of which way the stitching goes.
