Timing Help!!
Hey guys
My timing chain snapped off about a year ago on my 86 vette and my mechanic got it replaced and ran again. Today I was just curious to check with an inductive timing light what degree I am running (expecting 6°BTDC). I cranked the engine up and aimed the light at the balancer and found that the marker was about two centimeters away from the timing plate? Is that normal? Doesnt need timing adjustment? The car seems to run normal.
