When should it hit second?
I just got a shift kit put in a few days ago and it shifts into second too soon and real weak. Hitting third is cool but I called the shop to have them adjust it so it holds first longer and hits a little harder. When would be a good time for it to shift? Its an 89 with 3.07s in the back. Thanks

With a few more mods my ideal shift points are around 5,400rpm; with your mods I would think around 5,000-5,200rpm.
You could try some passes at the strip with manual shifting at several points.
