Default Drag tire fitment

Does anybody know the max height and width tire you can run in the stock fenders? My car will have a stock width 9" in it soon and I would like to run a 29.5x12.5 if I can fit it.

I use a stock width rear under my 84. On 84-88 cars you can run a 15X10" wheel with 6.5" backspacing. The 89-96 cars have a wider rear track width but I don't know what widths and offests work under them.

I use a 28X10.5 slick and 275 drag radial (275/60R15). These are the 2 most popular tires in this country for grudge and heads up racing....

Really there is no need to try and squeeze a bigger tire than that under the stock fender.

I have been mid 1.20's 60fts on the stock IRS with a 28X10.5 and mid 8s at 160mph in the 1/4 mile.

Gonna go a lot faster this year with the new 9" I got under the car.

I'm wanting to go a little taller and a little wider for the fact that the car will be grudged a little on the streets. The car has a h/c ls2 in it now and I've been 10.30's@132-133 multiple times. I'm planning on going small cube and turbo and backing it with a glide so a bigger tire would be nice for the streets.
