TPI timign question
If I change my base timing does this in effect change the entire curve. For example if I change base form 6 to 8 does the rest of the curve move 2 degrees? I've always assumed it does. Brown wire dis-re-connected of course.

Yes it will change the whole curve by 2 degrees. Best way to advance timing is in the tune. During cranking there is no timing advance from the ECM, so when you crank it will be using the base timing. If you want optimum starting, you would change it in the tune. 2 degrees is not going to have much of an impact on starting, but it's worth noting.
