I am swapping a LQ4 truck engine (6.0L) into a 93. The LQ has a small diameter sender unit. The LT that was in the car has a much larger temp sender. I know I will have, use both senders. One for the LQ and its computer and the LT sender for the gauge cluster(or external gauge). The current temp send hole in the engine is so close to the exhaust manifold I don't believe that it is a wise idea to just open up the diameter of the hole to install the larger temp sender. So it would require a machine shop to move the hole as it is opened up. I really don't want to break down the engine at this time. Has anyone that has done this swap come up with a workable solution? Thanks!

Just use an appropriate sized sender with the similar specs to the OE. You're looking for something that does 55 OHM (or close) to 1400 OHM (or close) for a gage. There should be many choices. You need to find someone that displays the specifications, remember the analog gage isn't accurate in the '90+ C4.
An Airtex 1T1143 might be a candidate to use to cross-reference maybe a local NAPA or brand of your choice. That's a single spade M12 X 1.5 which I believe is likely correct. I've never checked.
Try changing this FMC to maybe NAPA and check the specs F3XY-10884-C
Most of the after-market senders support 250* gages. Summitt/Jegs etc
