'93 auto trans issue, clunk
I even tried resetting the TV cable twice which doesn't help.
What is going on here? Is the ecm locking the torque converter up on cold start? i don't get it. Trans has been working perfectly up to this point. The car has 60K original miles. This problem has only occurred after the intake manifold gaskets were changed

Sorry. Couldn't resist...
The brake pedal should disable the TCC, so try that and see if you still get a clunk.
On my car the TCC control line is connected to a pin in the ALDL connector. You could monitor that pin with a test light (assuming yours is similar to mine) and see if the TCC is turned on at startup.

I'll look into the ALDL idea, thanks for the suggestion. I purchased 7 quarts of transmission fluid and think I will order an AC Delco trans filter from willcox or ecklers. I am not impressed with the crap autozone and napa are selling. I would even use a wix if i could find the correct filter that fits.
Did some forum searching and jrockford on this site had the same exact problem my car is experiencing I hope he is still active here and can give me some more feedback... https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...g-strange.html
