'85 delayed start issue
After the car has been sitting for a bit, usually over an hour or so, it will take about 3-4 seconds for the engine to turn over and start. So far it has not failed to start in the last 10 or so times I've started the engine since noticing this. I wanted to know if this is something do with the ignition or something else?
If I start the engine and/or drive it, the engine will start up almost immediately after turning the key in the ignition.
Any ideas on this?
May not be your problem, but it may help:

Yes, your fuel pressure is probably bleeding off too rapidly. I had that problem and solved with new injectors and I replaced the fuel pulsation damper with a short piece of fuel hose. The ruptured dampner was most of the problem and is a fairly easy fix. Test your fuel pressure after shutoff and see if falls. The are other fuel related components that might be involved but this solved it for me.
