Measure the tps voltage. Close the throttle blades almost completely shut. Slot the tps mounting holes and adjust it to read either the same voltage as before or around .60 to .67.
Ok now everyone else can quote this and tell me it's wrong.
It got my blms closer. That and raising the closed tps spark.
I just performed this adjustment as well. Even though the other things I've done thus far improved other issues, that car was still acting like cruise control was stuck on. It just rolls and rolls and rolls on even when you take your foot off the gas.
So, I'll drive it a while after this adjustment and let you know what happens.
BTW, I backed the throttle stop screw down more than two full turns before the blade was fully closed then opened it up slightly. Right now I'm about 1 3/4 turns further closed than what it was initially. I slotted the TPS and re-adjusted closed position voltage to .64 which is where it was when I started.
Took a longer road trip today with combination of city and highway driving. It behaved very well with this throttle blade adjustment. When you let off the gas, it now decelerates as it should. Performance is still great and no check engine lights.
