Default Key Fob not working

Now that my previous problem turned out to be bad gas (the car's, not mine), my key fob for my 93 coupe only works when it feels like it. I put a new 2450 battery in it, but it didn't make any difference. Is there a fix or is it time for a new one? :smash: :smash: :smash

you could try reprogramming it. don't know for sure if that will help. One thing that i noticed about mine is it works better when i put a rubber band tight around it .... maybe the case was loose.

Open it up and take a look at the contacts for the buttons and battery. If anything looks gummed up, take a Q-tip and alcohol to it. After its dry, use a pencil eraser to rub any corrosion off the same. Not sure about your 93, but anytime I replaced the battery in the remotes of my 95 Z28, I had to reprogram them. The procedure was in my owner's manual.
