Just buy them with the correct offset for the C4. IN 88 they went to the 50's mm, The later C4 was 56mm Not sure about the early C4 38mm? Someone who knows more about this than I will post up I'm sure.

Unfortunately OE Wheels does not carry anything for early C4s
If you look around you can find wheels that fit. It took me sometime to find them also. I am not a fan of spacers or adapters. The wheels you are looking at almost look like A-Molds.

I'm actually looking for a second set of wheels to put sticky tires on for autocross. It seems the tire selection in 18" is much better than 17". One of the guys in my club thought he heard that some C5 rears would work in the fornt and back of early C4 s he couldn't remember what year or model though. It would be nice to find a full set of 18x10.5s...

Contact HRE wheels; they can make a set of wheels for you in any diameter, any offset, any width you want.
