I put some obx long tube headers in my 86 and failed to heat wrap the brake lines. Now one of them is leaking onto the header causing a puff of smoke when you hit the brakes. I have another wrecked corvette an 87 that has good lines. What I need to know is what size are these stock lines so I can buy the right sized splice kit. I believe the leaking one comes right off the master cylinder.
I can but if I just remove the lines I'd have to remove the line through the entire system and do the same on the 86. Trying to see if this is the easier way
Are you able to post a picture of this? I had to bend my brake lines a little to stop them from touching my hooker headers. I also used a piece of paper heat shielding that has adhesive on it to cover the brake lines from getting heat up.
I'm very interested in this. If you could go into more detail on how that happened it would be well appreciated too.
