Default new plenum screws??

I am in process of fixing a $3000.00 service from a Chevy dealer on my 91 L-98 6 speed. Absolutely everything they did was a cluster. I bought car from original owner and he had all the work done at dealer where he bought car new. The 'tech' decided not to reinstall 2 plenum screws where the lower plenum mounts (one on each side) on the intake manifold. I have been looking for a new set of screws, does anyone know of a shop/vendor who sells the screws????

Are these the screws?

http://www.mamotorworks.com/corvette...ld-ex-607111-1

14 (set) x $1.99 = $27.86

You might check with Corvette salvage yards, also.

You can go to Ace hardware and get the "better in my opinion" hex head screws pretty cheap..If you want to stay stock , GM should be able to get torx bolts in a few days...You can also get the sets of hex head screws at Summit Racing...Just make sure you get them long enough or they can strip the theads....By the way, if you would have checked on here first, we would have told you to "Stay Away From Dealers" for repairs......WW

Is there anything actually wrong with the hardware you have OR are you just wanting all new? Seems foolish to spend $30+ for hardware that you don't need. There are I'd think more positives to having OE rather than a "package" offered by someone.

I'd certainly be looking for maybe just a couple that I actually need if the balance are fine.

are you sure those are the screws the OP is referring to? the ad states " 3 distributor cover screws." those would be the M4X.7X13, those used in holding the small distributor cover in place - way too small for any actual plenum hardware. the OP needs to identify which plenum bolts he is missing. there are several different lengths used on the L98 - typically M8X1.25 by (I'm thinking) 30, 34.4, or 54.4 (mm) lengths.

They left out the two screws that come in from the intake manifold side, majority of the remainder were just finger tight...none of them were torqued.

What is the correct length for the ones you need? I've got lots of runner bolts.

Precisely the solution I expected the OP to pick-up on and "just ask". That's the reason I asked "WHY A SET"?

I made this list of intake manifold Torx bolts a few years ago. Maybe it will be helpful:

14081014 M8x1.25x30 Runners to intake manifold (6)
14081016 M8x1.25x39.5 Runners to intake manifold (2)
14081017 M8x1.25x54 Runners to intake manifold (4)

I believe the ones you are looking for are 14081016.

Because the torx head on 10 of the screws were 'boogered' up by the tech who removed them. Reusing old screws/bolts/washers etc. is false economy, I replace bolts that have been previously torqued, habit from the road racing days.....
