Go for it Mackey!! Had them in a '69 Z28 and that sucker absolutely destroyed just about everything that wanted to try it. Did run a Hemi Road Runner that showed me what it meant to be humble, but it had headers and gears.

I think you're heading in the direction of a solid rear axle.

Re: 5.13 GEARS (mackeyred96)
John, I have a friend that use to work for Dana. He says that if you know the right people at Dana they can custom make any gear set you want. Try to use one of you contacts at GM to get you a set made.
Also, you were the first person on this forum to recommend that I change gears. I just had 4.10's installed and love them.
Thanks You
Mike from Wentville GM.

That thing is really going to rocket out of the hole now. I hope it makes it ok from home to the track and back. That is a LOT of gear.

Is this to make up for those 30" tall tires I saw you asking about?

Re: 5.13 GEARS (mackeyred96)
You will not get a custom gear made, but Dana makes it. All Dana 44 gears will work, but the downside is the 5.13 gear will have to have a sleeve welded on it like the early 4.09's did. They do not make a 5.13 for a super 44 which is what the Vette and the Viper has.
