This vacuum block with an electrical connection sits under the
intake plenum front on driver's side. Has four small vacuum line
connections. One turns and goes back to EGR valve, the one next
to it goes down to driver's side headlight area. The other two on
the other end were plugged off. Anybody tell me where they are
supposed to go to? Thanks, I also have the post "88 runs, but quits"

I have an 89 and here is the info on my conections. I hope it is right

the line that I see on your picture goes back to the egr
the conection next to it goes to a y conection and then plugs into the bottom vacuum fiting on the throttle body This supplies metored vacuum to the egr and down to the fuel tank pressure control valve thru that y fitting i mentioned

there is another larger vacuum fiting on the side of the TB that connects to a solenoid for the charcoal cannister

there should also me an electrical plug, plugged into the solenoid in the picture

If I am wrong, someone on the forum will advise

Mike

That is the vacuum solenoid for the EGR valve. The ECM turns it on and it supplies vacuum to the EGR valve to make it open.

These are the norma vacuum line connections:

The part on the back is just missing a filter type thing, which breaks apart, nothing is attached. It is held by the metal type clamp.
