I have had this 88 Corvette for 4 months and have had this problem from day two. She wants to idle at 10rpms sometimes 11rpms. All I have to do is to barely touch the gas pedal and she goes down to 6rmps, where I like it. I can feel sometimes as the pedal is grabbing. I have lubricated the cable from the throttle. I think as though replacing the entire cable. Do you all think I am on the right track or not. This happens everytime I stop.
Any suggestions would be helpful. :blueangel:
While you are in there around the Throttle Position Sensor, check to see if the voltage is consistent at idle. Move the throttle, note voltage, and see if it returns to original voltage. Good luck.
