Default Replace Injector O-rings?

I am going through my sons 91 and making sure that it is reliable. Is there a justification for replacing the injector O-rings? Is there a way to check to see if they need replacing or is it something that after 20+ years it couldn't hurt?

Any other preventive maintenance replacements I should look at? I have done the following already;

Replace Cap, coil and rotor
Replaced ECM
Replaced plugs
Replaced fuel filter
Replacing fuel pump this weekend
oil pan gasket on order
Transmission gasket and filter on order

Thanks
Wade

Just a visual leak check. If not leaking leave them alone. How is the brake fluid, lines, calibers, rotors, lines, etc?

Check if they are Multec. If they are, IMO, I wouldn't throw good money after bad and get a set of rebuilt ones from FIC. Get the numbers on the injectors and give Jon a call and ask him if they are multec or not. If you haven't had them out, I'd have them tested and cleaned and that should solve your question of injector rings.

I never reuse injector Orings any more than I reuse condoms.

Put grease in all of the zerk fittings.
Check all of the suspension part for wear and binding
Check U-joints for play and wear.
Check Shocks for leaks
Check front and rear spring for cracks/delamination
Check bushings for deterioration/failure.

I agree with aklim about replacing the fuel injectors and also using Fuel Injector Connection. Call them at 777-888-1662. Here's the link to the Corvette C4 webpage also -
http://fuelinjectorconnection.com/sh...gory&cat_id=67.
Buy the kit with the o-rings for the rail.

I'd also rebuild the Fuel Pressure regulator at the same time but would purchase a BWD regulator instead of the one at FIC. When FPRs go bad and leak, they can cause an engine fire. Here's a thread about the problems with the replacement FPR diaphragms and why you should use the BWD 21720 to replace it.

Also don't forget to check and replace vacuum hoses along with coolant hoses.

Get the car hot and run in a pitch black garage. Spray a fine water mist AROUND the wires and see if there are leaks.

I almost forgot. Take the Throttle Body off. You disconnect the cables and hoses going to the TB, remove, take off the cover plate, unscrew CAREFULLY the IAC, remove the IAC housing. Clean the IAC with brake cleaner CAREFULLY. Clean the TB and IAC housing with brake cleaner. USE NEW GASKETS. Same advice about the O-rings, Condoms and Gaskets. Don't reuse. They are too cheap to take a bet on.

I was chasing a high idle. Sprayed cans of brake cleaner at the hoses and the TB area. Not a thing. Took off my HSR intake and found a gasket between the intake and manifold had torn and got sucked in

I always replace the upper radiator hose and serpentine belt on every "new" used car I get...those seem like good candidates in your case too. If the belt has chunks missing, or if the hose is soft, I would swap those. Goodyear Gatorbacks can be had fairly cheap on eBay.
