Default Bad Night Tonight...Need Help

I posted this in parts wanted as well....

Had a rough night tonight with the coupe, on my way to a picnic, turned on the A/C, heard a clunk, then the serpentine belt started whining real loud, so I pulled over asap. Turns out, the A/C bracket that the idler pulley and condensor bolt to had cracked, and eventually the idler pulley section finally gave way. From the looks of it, it had been cracked for a while, the seam was not shiny new, it was pretty dirty. So, my question is, should I go ahead and try to replace the bracket, if so, where should I start looking, or should I look into an A/C eliminator bracket. I don't use my A/C hardly at all, I prefer top off windows down, so it's not a necessity, but I would like to try to russle up some leads for both options....
Worst sight in the world is your Vette on a flatbed

Thanks in advance

Sorry to read this. You're not alone! Mine started idling funny. Good advice on the a/c eliminator kit.

Keep your head up.

I would keep the A/C and get used brackets to fix what ever is broken.

I have not done it on a vette but on my chevy Truck the P/s bracket broke in 2. It cost about $4.50 for the part.

Keep your car whole!!!!! Replace it. Can't be very expensive to get the part.
