Default going in the right direction with mods

stock I ran a 8.99 at 78.8,9.01 at 75,and 9.05 at 76 mph(1/8 mile)....with 3 money mods on my 1991 coupe automatic with a 2.59 gear.... about 90 degree temps ran 4 passes including a best of 8.65 at almost 81 mph(mph varied only .4mph between all runs and ETs varied only a tenth on one round robin pass) the 3 major mods are a ...corvette central 2.25 dual exhaust reusing stock mufflers, a 41 % reduction crank pulley and a used reprogrammed chip I got off of ebay(guy asked what I wanted to change and he programmed a used chip , programming and chip was $109)....I did open up filter housing but using a dirty filter which I haven't changed because im trying to decide if I want to try a "cold air system" and don't want to waste money on a new filter that I won't use for long......

If you have the lid cut just put a k&n in it and call it a day. Any other intake setup won't yield any more power.

I had heard that someone on here made an offer to breathless performance if they used their vortex cai and if it improved performance they would pay double for it but if it didn't work they would get a full refund for the kit, supposedly it did improve performance..but I think it was a lt1 vette......anyone remember this?...if not i'll probably go the k&N route and wish I could find one of the front air diffusers that takes the place of the front tag cover
