overheating

Default overheating

got a 85 vette at what temp is the danger point and what is normal temp, around 40 to 45 mph it runs 195 to 205 when i get into a town it goes up to 225 to 235 , antifreeze ok, at what point do i worry.

I have a 91.
Same temps here.
235 use to concern me, normal around town.

Pull the top radiator shrould off and clean inbetween

Yes the hardest part on mine was the three 7mm on either side use a flat ratchet wrench with tape if yours has them. They are fast vacumme cleaners clean and flush good.

Those temps are normal, and you have iron heads, so you can handle more heat than the aluminum head without danger of head gaskets, but if it gets to 250-260 I'd pull over and shut it off.

doing only that wouldn't clean something like mine was. Radiator should come out to do it right
