Default rear end wobble. What do I need to replace?

Noticed last night that the rear end seemed to want to step out and in based on throttle input. I did some research and I believe the issue is the toe rod. It also seems that these items are non-serviceable.

Does anyone have experience with working on these pieces? I am looking to see what I am up against. Is this something I can leave until this winter to tackle? Not looking to down the car unless it is a quick (weekend) fix. That means parts are available. Does NAPA or Discount have these parts in stock?

I heard there is an aftermarket solution as well. Does anyone have a recommendation and a place to order from?

One last question. I assume that I will need a complete alignment after this. How bad is that going to be to find someone to do that?

thanks for any replies

hi, i had the rear end getting weebly on me with throttle input. i had a ujoint that was falling apart on the rear passenger side inboard.

i replaced the wheel hubs at the same time.

get under the car and start yoinking on things to see what is loose. might be the axle nut. and safety first. make sure you have many jackstands as backup in cae one fails.

I do need to get the car up on stands again. Just won't be for a while yet. Have to go out of town and then I have company visiting after that. Probably won't get to it until late July.

Thanks for the reply and info.

Check all the parts but pay close attention to the u-joints.

Default Toe link

You are classically describing a C4 rear toe link issue. Do a you tube search, there is a CC cutaway series on it, and a video of a good one. You can check the toe link without hoisting car.
