Default ERG System

I own a 1991 Corvette with hooker headers, thus the A.I.R system is incomplete and the EGR is inoperative. When I drive the car on the highway the SES light comes on...Shut the car off,the SES light goes off ,then soon after the SES comes back on...How do I go about "tricking the ECM" into thinking that everything is ok?

The usual method is to "turn off" the error code in the PCM so it never reports the problem. You would have to have the chip reprogrammed to do that.
