Parts stores have the O-rings in the HELP section. I purchased the 180 piece Viton O-ring kit $10.99 your covered for life.
I believe the size is 5/16ID 7/16OD 1/16 diameter OR 3/8ID 1/2OD

Sorry, I sure do not remember a "O" ring on the hard line. The male fitting on the hard line screws into the filter...where is the "O" ring located then? I used to replace the fuel filter every 10-15,000 on the 85.
there is a high possibility he has a late production 85 with 86 Parts. We all know there is not guarantee parts used from any manufacture. Substitutions can/are made.

I am looking for info on O-ring size for the fuel line to filter. The dealers have no info on them and one dealer tried to tell me I do not need them
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Mine 1995, thought gas filter is the same that your has, has four o ring
Two on gas filter two on return line, they were in viton think due their brown color, replaced with nbr rubber
Size are about ( say about cause very little differences in internal diameter don't affect seal as instance 7,66mm instead 7,68mm)

thickness 1,78mm

Line is like this
Yep, that is definitely the connection I am dealing with.
I think you meant 7.78mm for thickness.
I just changed the fuel filter on my 85 yesterday and there are definitely o-rings on my fuel lines. A Viton o-ring assortment from Harbor Freight should have what you need.
OP is correct the fuel lines have a Saginaw style fitting and the supply/feed seal is 22514722 and on a return side the seal is 22516256.
do NOT use generics
It might be interesting to go back to the dealer that "rolled his eyes" I'd think they're likely on his shelf.
If an auto parts store suggests anything other than a correct change directly from the GM #'s I'd suggest not buying.
Dimensions are likely, the supply (7.35MM ID X 1.66MM THK), the return (6.07MM ID X 1.30MM THK) I don't believe all NBR are E-fuel rated - I'd be sure of what I was buying.

I'm interested to use original style o-ring where do you find them (22514722 - 21516256)
Also my supply and return line were same diameter...

Nbr rubber is made to use with fuels
While I was posting I just thought I'd supply the fuel o-ring information for BOTH dimensions used in C4 fuel systems. Of course the fuel filter inlet and outlet are the larger dimension.
If the dimensions I mentioned are correct and I've no reason to doubt it they're done to Saginaw spec and not an ISO spec that I'm aware of, if you buy parts from time to time from the US you could ask whoever ships to you to get them at a dealer. Working with the dimensions it looks like you can get quite close using the ISO 3601 which it appears you used for yours. How did yours fit? There's a DIN 3771 product also, if they were available local you could try them for a fit.

Used a 16mm flare but spanner both supply and return lines,
20mm wrench to keep firm filter, a little bit more (about 20,5mm or 21,5mm adjustable wrench to keep return line joint firm)
Also I've measured all fours males fitting supply and return and they are exactly the same so I've used same o ring size above mentioned on four all males fitting.
The o rings are pressed by male fitting to the filter female edge or return line joint female, they don't go inside the hole, (this is what I've found on my car) so do not think a little difference in size affect seal
At the moment they seem to work fine, no gas leak

No no I meant
1,78 millimeters as thinckness (or axial cross section)
7,68 millimeters as inside diameter
Sorry - now I understand what you are talking about.
Thanks to everyone who had input on this subject. I called 3 different dealers and all three had no idea what I was talking about.
Now we know the GM part number and I will go back to the first dealer I spoke to and purchase ithem.

Thanks again!!!!
I've taken a look at the old o-rings that i've remove from my fuel line...
Most likely the sizes above mentioned by WVZR-1, are the originals,
However even my are working good, i've bought them on ebay.it, so thought as WVZR-1 said, they are made from an ISO standard, and they are a little bit different, but we are speaking about 1/10 or 1/100 mm
Even harbour freight place where i've at the first searched these o rings have a size like that i've used
I bought my 1985 Corvette in 1992 and have only changed the fuel filter once. This was many years ago. I do not remember O-rings being used for the fuel filter change, will consult my 1985 service manual later. My 1996 does not have a recommended mileage or time to change the fuel filter, bought it new over 18 years ago now and still using the original fuel filter. Fuel is getting to the LT4 injectors just fine. After getting the 1996 Corvette and seeing there was no gas filter changing, I did not worry about changing the 1985's fuel filter.
