Default front spoiler mount question

Hey gang;

Looks like the previous owner, or owners ran up the curb a few times and destroyed the front spoiler on my 86. It's been that way for years while I was restoring everything else. I installed the new one a week ago but am puzzled. the side pieces were no problem. the center piece in a mystery. the holes on the spoiler don't quite line up with anything on the car. It looks like someone tried to sorta kinda mash some pieces of metal and platic together down there to keep things from dragging and hitting, i guess.

Problem is, I'm not sure what it's suppose to look like to know what I need to replace. does anyone have a pic of their center front spoiler where it mounts to the car? I have an FSM, but I think I left it at a friend's house and don't have it readily available.

Thanks for any help. Just when I think I'm a crappy mechanic, I look at this kind of stuff

Bob

642-643 are what you need to mount the spoiler

Do you have the part for the correct year? Newer cars have a diff. part.

Default Suggestion: Big Mouth Scoop

If you go with a Bigmouth air scoop, you can avoid using the spoiler center section and just use the 642 plastic duct. The scoop seems to really improve cooling at road speeds.
