just had the trans re-built, when i first picked it up, shifting was a bit course, and/or erratic, after a few days, shifting smoothed out substanialy, but i noticed when at speed ( 55+ ) when i let off the throttle, the engine just seems to free wheel, after another week of driveing, shifting seems a bit erratic again, at light throttle will shift to 2nd , then to third with TCC lockup occuring at the same time ( bogs ) applying a bit of throttle will disengange TCC, But still free wheels when i let off the throttle,
Tried taking it for a bit of a run on some back roads, with heavier throttle, and still will not shift to OD ( ran it all the way up to 68 @ 2800 rpm)
Now if driving around in Shift light will eventually come on if i am just crusing at around 55 or so. let off throttle.... engine just freewheels.
Have also noticed the downshifts at lower speeds generally occur later ( my opinion) than they should.
Take it back and make them fix it. I rebuilt my transmission and when I road tested the car the tranny was not right, so I got to pull the transmission and rebuilt it again. Bottom line is that even professionals make mistakes. When I was taking my transmisson class the instructor said if the transmission lasts past 500 miles then the chances are good its going to hold up. First 500 miles cross your fingers.
