Acts like lack of fuel (has spark, cranks, but won't fire)
trys to fire on "carb cleaner"
Put in a new fuel filter, no change (someday I'll have a car lift, I'm getting too old to lay on my back)
bought a fuel pressure gauge,
comes right up to 10 psi and no more .....not the 45-47 psi I had hoped for... looks like I'm going in the tank to pull the fuel pump and check it and the inlet screen / filter..
It sounds like the fuel pump......Racetronics makes a kit to replace the fuel pump , pulsator replacement hose, wiring, tank top gasket, new bolts, and fuel intake sock for around $100.00..This is the best deal, and it's a good idea to change the wire harness to the pump anyway..The C4 Corvette is one of the easiest cars to change the fuel pump in, should only take about an 1 to 1 1/2 hours for a first timer...WW
Pump it up and see how long it holds. Then pump it up and clamp off the fuel line on top of the tank and see how long it holds. Pull the vaccume line off the fpr and see if you smell gas. I believe yours is batch fire.

The pressure holds for a while.... at least 10 minutes, then I took the gauge off. while cranking the pressure pulses. I assumed this was the injectors firing and the pump cycling. dropped to 38 or so in rhythm and immediately recovered.
Might be still lots of air in the fuel system.
You can apply 12+ to terminal "G" of the ALCL connector, this will keep the pump running for as long as power is there.
A few minutes should cycle all the air out.

There are those on here that say Seafoam is snake oil, but I have seen it work to many times with my "own eyes" to let them get away with that statement and always correct them......Glad to hear you got it fixed.......WW. .

Thanx...Now that she is "running" great it was a worthwhile and learning experience. I consider working on my cars myself: therapy
