Rear rotor weight?
Anyone have any late C4 rear rotors and an accurate scale laying around? I'm running an early C4 rear suspension under my '69, but I'm curious if the later rotors (due to their shape) are a bit lighter. I made custom brackets to mount the Wilwood calipers presently on the car, so any new bracket fabrication shouldn't be a problem, and will probably go faster than the first time I did it. The present (NAPA replacement) rotors on the car are 12.8 pounds.
On a pair of bathroom scales a late model GM rotor was 12.8 also. I don't know how reliable but I'd think reasonably.
I did the rotor and then myself + the rotor and deducted my weight and three repetitions were within .1 ib. Rotor construction/brand could certainly have an effect but I wouldn't think enough to mention.
I didn't bother with the link. What does it say?
Amazon quotes 13.5 for shipped weight so with the box and packaging I'd say maybe validate the 12.8 or so I checked.
