Stick on letters are from the factory, my friend. I love the height....but it wouldn't last too long around Jacksonville and our speed bumps. 5abivt is a prime example of someone who could use that money towards a C6 or C7 but instead builds a knockout C4.

Point being? Being factory it still looks tacky. Simple body colored recessed looks better to me, but tastes vary.

It was just one of those things that made a ZR-1 a ZR-1. To each their own. If you ever get one you can remove it but not sure what's behind it, like a couple of small holes for locating pins that may need to be filled.

Lettering doesn't make that car a ZR1. Under the hood, wider rear....etc make it a ZR1. not sure what's behind it. The stick on lettering people put on the 91-96 rear bumpers that fill in the Corvette lettering look cheap.

I bet it could but the question is if it ideal. The OD I think is the weak link.

yah, i havn't gotten too far into my research on it yet but i wanted to stick with as much stock as possible and just drop a high hp engine into it.

so far, my research basically shows that as long as the od is maintained, much like anything else on the car, its actually a great tranny.

and if using the stock tranny alleviates a bunch of fabrication, then im all for it.

I believe it works fine but maintenance is key. The thing is I bet if it is tracked a lot it will not last long. But parts breK and if you are able to fix them yourself it's not near big of a deal.
