Default Well I sprayed for the first time today...

And I have a couple of questions. First off it is a Compucar Wet system spraying a 100 shot. I did check the system prior to running to verify that the niods are functioning. I sprayed after the 1-2 shift for the duration of the gear. I really can't tell a difference, I might climb in RPM's a bit quicker but it might be in my head too. Should a 100 shot be noticable? Should I hear it spray? The bottle was around 950 psi.

Comments?

Yeah, a 100 shot should be very noticable! I ran a 100 shot on my supra, and even with the turbos spinnging up to 20 psi, the NOS was very noticable. Try flooring the car, then activating the NOS midway through the gear.....if you cant feel it kick in, then you've got a wiring problem. You can't hear it spray.

Yeah, I tried it midway through a gear...I really couldn't tell a difference. As far as a wiring problem, what could it be? With the bottle turned off I can push the activation button and hear the niods "click". I would assume that it is wired correctly.

Thanks,

Eric

You definately have a problem if you can not feel a difference. If you have a fuel pressure safety switch with the system, that would be the first place I would check. What all came with the kit and what all have you installed?

I bought it used from another forum member. It included bottle w/gauge, lines, noids, plate, jets, etc. Just the basics, I do have a MSD 6 hooked up to it too. I assume, and this is probably where my problem is, that if you can hear the noids clicking when testing the system should fire (considering everything else is hooked up correctly).

Pull the plate, and test with the bottle open to see if it is actually spraying. If the noids are firing, it means it is working. Check it connected to see that they are flowing. Point it away from your motor obviously when checking ;).

do what vette92 says if it does not spray then normally what has happened is that the noid under pressure will not spray, so it means that noid is burn up which means it has to be rebuilt...

You butt-o-meter is probabley not calibrated very well, that's all. I also have a compucar wetkit, but it's a 90hp shot. I can notice when it sprays, but its more of a progressive feel in speed not a Fast and the Furious kick back in your seat type feel. I remember when I sprayed for the first time I also questioned if it sprayed or not. The more you use it the more you'll start noticing the increase in power IMHO.

You are Nucking Futs! Ha, just kidding. Actually I solved the problem...and all I can say is WOW :D That's a heck of a punch, I can only imagine what a 150 would feel like.

I had used the same 12v power source that my stereo system head unit uses, and I ended up blowing fuses. After analyzing and identifiyng the problem I was able to correct it.

Now if I can just figure out my starting problem with this MSD 6 I will be all set. You can see my thread on this in this forum and the C4 Perf. forum.

Thanks to all who commented!
