what does one look like , can someone post a picture or diagram explaining, where the tip is cut and how you remeasure the gap width from , where to where? TIA  :D
I think you need to have a hotter-than-stock ignition coil on the motor for this mod to work well, no? Or will a stock coil still do the job okay if using the stock gap on the cutbacks?
in the uk you can buy a plug with 3 bars bent over the electrode and the spark shoots out 3 ways very good , you can use them with standard systems or you can the f1 type plugs with no bar just electrode downside with these is cost, upgrade in system and tends to run hot, if i can find some i will post pics.
Has anyone ever tried those copper Bosch 3 tip plugs in a vette? I think that is what Mad Aussie is talking about. I didn't know they even existed, but my brother got a set for his 944 turbo (you shouldn't put platnums in a turbo). Supposedly, this would eliminate the need to index or cut back the electrodes. Even if they cost a little more, cutting back the electrodes takes up time (of which I have little). Also, they are much beefier than the +4s.
I just bought a new set of NGK's, but I'm going see if they sell these Bosch plugs in our size/heat range.
Champoin actually sells a pre cut plug, i cant remember the series, but it is a race type plug,,,,if you want the easy way out get some of those...........
