Yes it did, I cut the C-Beam. See picture below, it was installed back in 2001

I tried to buy the hammerhead this year but it is not available anymore. What should I do? I need something just as durable. Best would be of course if someone would have a hammerhead rear to sell.

The issue I believe is the outputs to the rear half-shafts. There's mixed messaging for the rear short-axes to the half-shafts. StreetSop says they don't offer them and I was under the impression that maybe the Driveshaft shop could supply the parts. I was told at one time Frank was the contact. You might contacting them. I'd be interested in how you do.

**** The OP's build is done with a 30-spline so maybe he can pass on more information. I don't recall asking.

..... I solved the D44 housing weakness with a Newman Car Creations housing ... but the persistent mortality of the u-joint cups and needle bearings along with the weak outer axles caused me to install a 9" Ford solid axle in my drag only '87 ... the Newman housings are no longer available ... however , I do have one for sale with a custom spool and 4.30 gears ... do the search in parts for sale category ... its not cheap , but I bet its less than a Hammerhead and Gladiator and it is basically unobtainium .....
