I own a 1989 Corvette 6 spd with Z51 package. I see a few manufacturers for the tire. I lean toward BFGoodridge. The car will see very little track tim. Mostly pleasure driving and some high speed, 80/90
Any suggestions.
Maybe if you tell us what searches you have done, we
wouldn't work so hard to help.
Frankly I thought that some one would just say I used BF G and did like did not like , or I used Continental and did / did not something like that. with the 1984 I had no choice BFG was the only manufacturer of the tire size.
Can't go wrong with the Conti Extreme Contact DWs. They work great. Read the reviews on the Tire Rack website. They're priced moderate for their quality level too.

Take a look at the Mickey Thompson tires. You can find them at Summit Racing. I recently installed them on my car and they perform very well, they have good grip wet and dry and aren't noisy. They don't look like they would be much good in snow, but I reckon I'll never find out for sure. Anyhow, they are good tires at a very good price.
I just put on a set of Continental Extreme Contact DW tires.
Only about 500 miles on them so far, but I like them. The car seems to handle better and ride smoother than the Sumitomo HTR Z or the Cooper 2XS tires I had on it.
A friend has the Firestone Firehawk wide oval Indy 500 and has said he likes them too.

Looks like the Contis are a front runner. Someone else suggested the MTs
tough choice.
I second the Mickey Thompson Street Comp tires. I have them on my GrandSport and like them alot. Sticky, High Treadwear rating, quiet, and reasonably priced through Summit Racing.
I have the DWs on my 1996 and they are fine for daily driving, good grip, smooth ride and quiet when compared to the Goodyears (which were the OEs and too old to trust).
