First, remove it from the throttle linkage. Then remove the bolt that holds the cable to the case. There will now be enough slack to disconnect the cable and remove it from the linkage at the trans.

Are you saying I won't have to remove the pan? I did it years ago and thought that was the case. I released tension on the cable but didn't remove it from the ABS wheel. Once the cable is removed does it just wiggle off the lever in the trans?
When I get the trans back from RPM will I need to drop the pan to install the cable or can it be maneuvered into place the came way? Odd the manual doesn't cover this, Thanks!
There's a wire linkage that comes up through the hole in the case. With the throttle body side of the cable disconnected, it should just slide right back onto the linkage without removing the pan.
Be sure you get the cable adjusted correctly. It'll kill your trans if you don't, and they probably won't warranty it.
