Default Dyno Results with Hyper Tech Power Programmer III are in.

I went to the Dyno last night to see what the difference would be with and without the Hyper Tech. Well there in, and I am very disappointed with Hyper tech.

If you cant see the results, go to my homepage and click Dyno Results. Sometimes my pics do not post.

Your link isn't working for me, says home.com is under construction, I think Hypertech is fine for stock cars, expensive way to turn on the fans early, but will also adjust for larger tires and recalibrate speedometer, shift points, firmness etc.... but this you already know, without seeing your numbers, I can almost guarantee that you'll see improvement with an Ed Wright fastchip or some other custom chip ( Marcho Polo on the forum burns them ). Try a custom chip, and watch your mods come to life, good luck

I don't have the charts here at work, but I did the same test last February. I got approximately 5 HP and 4 Lbs/Ft TQ increase across the board. I needed it for the 4.10s, but it did give a little advantage. I loaded the performance tuning, the early fan on, and changed the speedo. I did it between runs and we let it cool so both runs were at the same operating temps. Mine was on a DynoJet at Xtreme Motorsports in Tempe AZ. Sorry it didn't work for you. IMHO, I would not buy the HPP-3+ for power, but if you need the early fan on and a speedo correction for an OBDII car, the HPP-3+ works and the 5 HP was a nice surprise for me.

Hmm, that lost a little more than I expected, but still a loss across the board. Ditch that POS.

I plan on it. As soon as I get with Ed White, I wont need it for the fan or the gears.

I also have a 96 LT1 I went with the Hypertech, 3.73 rear, & a Vigilante 2800, also 1.6 GM RR, & a Breathless intake, ... In VERY GOOD weather I've run 12.28 @ 110 mph, but 12.30 in good air were more like it..

In the summer I slowed to 12.50 - 12.70s

You WILL need a 2800 converter & at least 3.73.. I picked up .2 tenths with JUST the 1.6 RR I still have the stock cam in it..

Oh, I also see you have lowered your car, I think this will hurt your 60' time & that is a BIG factor in turning good ET's
My 60' were 1.65 - 1.68 Remove the front sway bar, this will permit the front to LIFT putting more weight on the rear tires..

I just ordered a Yank 2800. It should be here soon. That is really the only thing holding me up. As soon as I get that, its off to a garage to get everything on. What kind of 60ft times are you turning?

I saw your 60ft time after I made the post. I was too busy checking out your burn out. I am shooting for 12.0 myself. I really dont want to go faster, because I dont want to put in a roll cage.
