PAGING Mr. Mojo
Mr. Mojo, did you get a Dana 44 rearend with the 3.45's for the automatic? or just the Gears? I am looking to buy a Dana 44 with 3.73's, can you tell me where you bought yours, thanks!

I bought a Dana 44 with the stock 3.45 gears in it. It came out of a 40,000 mile '94 six speed car.
I got it from Contemporary Corvette 1-800-367-8388 ask for Ron, tell him I sent you.
He won't give you the "mojo" discount, but he will take care of you and give you everything you need.
I believe he gets about $1400 for the carrier,the cover,the driveline support and the driveshaft.

Thank you for the quick reply. The reason I was wondering is because I really want the 3.73's and will be doing alot of drag racing but dont want to just install the 3.73's in my dana 36 because it may break :(

Yes eventually it will let go, you are better off upgrading to a 44.

Would the dana 44 bolt right up into my car? That way I could do it myself instead of swaping just the gears out. Even though I have an auto, will it matter that the gears are from a 6 speed? I need gears BADLY!!!!!!
