If you got a wideband o2 sensor/gauge you could monitor the a/f ratio while driving around.I dont know about other brands but the Innovate gauge unit has 2 outputs and both are programmable. You can use 1 to run the in-car gauge and program the 2nd output to read like a narrow band oem o2 and connect it to the factory o2 wire. The gauge is light weight and flat so you can mount it with velcro tape.A nice 1/2 hour job that doesnt require permanent mods to the car.If you want to get into programming/tuning your car goto www.moates.net .Do some reading there. They have the hardware + software to break into your oem computor.I havent tried this yet but some members have. All of the advantages of wiring in a standalone aftermarket efi system with out all the work and permanent mods to the car.Be aware that if you are a klutz with software you can make your car not run with 2 or 3 taps on your laptop keyboard. You could also program the egr to come on at the dyno speeds of the smog test-kind of like the current VW fiasco only you wont get caught.
