Default SuperRam install without using gaskets????

Anyone have any luck installing a superram using Right-stuff or gasket maker? I cut my own gaskets last time but after disassemble it looks as if the goo would do a fine job alone.

I'd think maybe an anaerobic choice maybe better, these are the Devcon/Permatex choices:

If you need to remove any part at a later date, you will regret gluing them together.

Use the gaskets and a bit of the Permetex.

with AGENT 86. Sell the car before you have to disassemble the SR if you don't use gaskets but sealants instead. You can get gaskets thru Summit/Jegs but you have to call then. Or you can still get them from Lingenfelter.

Someone once recommended a hylomar type gasket sealer for my TPI. I've read about similar stuff(Indianhead) in the past for gaskets and many say it works good. Still I like to use gaskets, but I got some of the permatex type for another project. Out of many local auto parts store autozone was the only one to have it http://www.permatex.com/products-2/p...sealant-detail

I never did use it, but I also read it's a real pita to get completely off the surfaces. So I wouldn't just pile it on and wear gloves maybe. The stuff is real sticky and doesn't harden, but I know some use it with head shim style gaskets.

I use the Right Stuff along with the LPE gaskets.

I ran a SuperRam for years. I wouldn't recommend using the Right Stuff unless it was a one time installation. That stuff is like glue and would be difficult to clean and remove at a later date. I used to rtv the runner gaskets to the manifold and use white lithium grease on the runner side to seal any possible vacuum leaks. Same thing with the plenum. I was able to use the same gasket set for years with numerous disassemblies.

You need gaskets.....you can use some PAM spray on them to reuse cant remember the last time Ive used silicone if its put together right it shouldnt leak (although the temptation to use RTV with any LTR is understandable caue they suck to work on lol)
