The problem is due to excessive heating of the dissimilar metals (steel bolts into Al) which arises from extreme and repeated use of brakes in road racing.
I doubt that it will be an issue on other Z06s or Vettes unless they are involved in road racing.
Nonetheless, it's an intersting example of what extreme driving can do. As a drag racer I concern about drive train stresses but I guess the autocross and road course guys have their own particular set of problems.
What's a step-by-step to check and inspect this on our C4's? I'm not sure where they're referring to, is it on the brake hub or somewhere on the A-arms?
