I'd like to mount the nitrous mastermind under the passenger dash and I was wondering if anyone knew if there's an easy access factory hole through the firewall, or am I going to have to drill my own? Suggestions? TIA! :)
Re: Running wires through firewall question (Fastguy)
I ended up coming in on the driver's side above the pedals and running the wires under the dash.
How hard was it for you to run the wires through the firewall on the drivers side then? I looked for some sort of grommet down there when I adjusted my dimmer switch, but I'll be damned if I could see any hole in the firewall to run wires through...
Re: Running wires through firewall question (cprgmr)
In drilled a hole, but I just looked at your sig. The 91 and up has a different dash and the area I drilled through has some big funky computer thing there.
Re: Running wires through firewall question (Fastguy)
Check the unit out and make sure it works before you go through a lot of trouble making the routing look pretty. Makes it easier to return it and get another one if there is a problem with it.
Re: Running wires through firewall question (cprgmr)
There is a hole there. If you remove your battery you'll be able to see it better. I have run my N20 power lines and my amp (stereo) power lines threw that hole. Just look closely!

Have you had problems with the NMM? How would you test one before installing it?

Good luck.
Re: Running wires through firewall question (cprgmr)
Yes I did try out the NMM and mine only partially worked. You will still need to hook all the wires up to check it for the most part, but I would not spend a lot of time routing wires and such until you found out your unit works 100%. On mine, the retard and pressure safety worked. The rest did not. I spoke with 3 people at Jacob's tech and none of them could help me. They refered me to email their top tech, but I received no response and sent my NMM back to Summit and gave them the option of sending me one that worked or a refund. They gave me a prompt refund. I personally find Jacob's products junk and you will not find me ordering anything manufactured from that company again (especially when their tech's say "Wow, we have never had one come back"...utter BS).

Whoa! Looks like I'll be checking this unit out very carefully. Thanks for the info Chris.
