Default DRM Coil Overs experiences

Hi Guys

I want to lower my car, not sure on how much, but i want it lower.

I don't really like the idea of cutting of some of the rubber on front spring.

So i have been looking at coil overs and have found these:
http://dougrippie.com/products/c4-co...-coilover-kit/

So here is my question, has anyone tried them?

One thing i don't like about running coilovers, is the rear shock mount, that will have to carry the whole load of the car if i switch the coil overs?

Anyone tried only to run coil overs on the front? That way I would still be able to lower the car, and would not have to cut my spring.

Car is a 1994 Six speed with base springs and Z51/HD shocks.

I'm just running them on the front (got a C4 suspension under my '69). I run a lot of track days with the car, and no problem with the setup. It's convenient being able to set the ride height where I want it. Only a couple minor items I'll eventually change, but they're not necessarily complaints. The shock bottom mount still retains the stock rubber bushing, which I'd like to change to a more durable arrangement. And, if you change springs or ride height often, a set of roller bearings between the spring and adjustment collar would make life a little easier.

Other than those items, no issues with the setup.

Edit: Just remembered, when I received these parts there were no rubber bumpers in the top section of the shock mount (to soften the impact if the shock went full collapse travel). I called them and was told that in a C4 the tires hit the wheelwell before the shock collapses totally, and therefore not necessarily needed in a C4. I requested the parts because of my different usage application, and the bumpers were sent no charge.

Thank you for your reply. I cannot see any issues with just running them on the front? My car does only VERY rarely get tracked. I am mostly after them for looks, and i want to be able to bring the car back to stock.
I don't suppose that the front and rear are identical on the DRM coil over kit, and that you have half of your set that you want to sell me. The spring rates must at least be different?

I better try and send a mail to Doug Rippie. Thanks again.
