Default Engine Rebuild or Replacement

I would like a recommendation for a shop in Northern California to do an engine rebuild or replacement for a 1992 LT-1.

Thanks for your input.

An engine swap will save you time if that is a concern.

With rebuilding your engine, I am sure you will be without your car for several months.

You might want to start a thread in the Northern California section. Looks like you live in the Bay Area so there should be a number of good shops that can do the work. Might even help to state where you live and how far you would be willing to travel to get the car to a shop. Showing your location is always a good idea too

well , just my opinion, but good LT blocks are becoming fewer and fewer, and good lt blocks with four bolt mains are far fewer still....so I'd suggest, time permitting that you investigate rebuilding your present block; heads? there are a number of good aftermarket heads available, so rebuilding or replacing your present heads would be a judgment call.

I followed your suggestion. Thanks
