Weird starting problem
At an autocross, I made one run came in shut down the car. After 10 minutes I tried to start it and it turned over but wouldn't fire. I know I have a leaky injector so held the throttle open and tried to start again, no fire. Repeat, this time the stater wouldn't engage. I jacked up the passenger side of the car nad used a screwdriver to short across to the solenoid on the starter, then it started at the key. We kept the car running through all our runs and until I put it on the trailer. When I got it home it started just fine everytime I've cranked it. I have a lightweight "Pro" type starter on the car. Any ideas?

Is it possible I tripped the vATS when I disconnected my coil wire (I have an MSD 6AL) to see if it had spark. As soon as I did that the engine wouldn't turn over. About 5 minutes later it started right up.
